Twenty-Two Weeks and the Family Ride

Baby Williams is the length of a spaghetti squash (about 11 inches) and almost 1 lb. Her lips, eyelids and eyebrows are more distinct, and she's developing tiny tooth buds beneath her gums. Her eyes have formed, but her irises still lack pigment.

We finally did it. We sold our impractical-but-fun Mustang convertible and bought the official "family mobile." Plenty of room for carseat, stroller and groceries. We're in our thirties AND driving a station wagon. Adulthood has officially begun! :)

Twenty-One Weeks

Baby Williams is the length of a carrot this week - about 10.5 in. long. Her eyebrows and eyelids are present now, and she's starting to sleep and wake in cycles.

Little Bitty is a Girl!

We're having a baby girl!!! Woohoo! She already weighs 12 oz.
Click on the photos below to see them better.

I think she's waving to us!

Sleepy baby.

Travis says he can already tell she has my feet.

This is the one that's supposed to tell us the gender. I can't tell a thing, but I'm trusting the ultrasound tech knows what she's doing. Apparently, the boomerang looking thing is her legs and pelvic bones.

Twenty Weeks - Halfway!

We've reached the halfway point. Woohoo! Baby is the length of a banana this week - about 10 inches from head to heel. According to our ultrasound, she weighs 12 oz (about the weight of a coke can). She is swallowing more these days, which is good for her digestive system, and she's moving all the time now, especially at night.
We went to Taylor Park, Colo. for a few days to camp. It was beautiful and so nice to breathe in the fresh mountain air!

Nineteen Weeks

Baby is the size of a mango this week. Average size: 6 in., 8.5 oz. Hair on baby's scalp is sprouting and baby's brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision and touch. The baby is very active now. I can feel him/her moving all the time. We find out Monday if we're having a boy or a girl, and we can't wait!

A Little Bitty Flutter

I felt the baby move! I was sitting very still after eating a big meal, and I felt a few little flutters in my lower stomach. It actually felt like a small muscle twitch. How exciting! And good to know I'm really growing a baby and not just getting fat. :)

Eighteen Weeks

Baby is the size/length of a bell pepper this week. Average size is 5.5 oz and 7 inches. Baby has become very mobile, passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. I haven't been able to feel any movements yet, but baby's finally big enough that I should start feeling them any day. I can't wait!!!

I've grown a lot in the past week. There's actually a baby in there!
