Little Bitty Williams Arrived (and even has a name!)
Hello everyone who reads this! Devon and I had our first child on 12/1/2009 at 11:10 p.m. Her name is Taylor Abigail. She's a sweetheart! She was whopping 8.6 pounds and 20 inches in length. Dev was in labor for 21 hours. It was exhausting for both of us...but let's face it, I have nothing to even talk about!!! Dev was awesome. I was so proud of her. She's amazing. Right now Dev and Taylor are getting ready for bed. It's awesome to see her love on her daughter.
Each new day is a day filled with joy and unique challenges, but all-in-all we're doing well. BUT if someone can send us 8 hours of sleep in 1 hour increments that would be SUPER helpful! Having a baby and raising a baby is tiresome, but a blessing.
Thank you for your prayers through this entire process and during labor. It meant and will continue to mean so much to us. God moved in amazing ways.

39 Weeks and ONE to Go!!!
The doctor says that Baby Williams has dropped a bit so the waiting game is on! She continues to build a layer of fat to help control her body temperature after birth, but it's likely she already measures about 20 inches and weighs a bit over 7 pounds - like a mini watermelon.

One week to go and momma's still dancin'!
You ain't seen a momma dance like this! I'm so proud of my wife for staying as active as she can during her pregnancy. Little bitty's got a good role model for physical fitness.

Nursery Time
After moving our entire office to the basement and slowly adding piece by piece, we finally finished the baby room - with two weeks to spare! Whew! Here are a few photos:
I painted the little nightstand (with lots of help from my mom-in-law).

37 Weeks - 3 to Go!!
Baby Williams is finally full term! Woohoo! This means that if she arrives now, her lungs should be fully mature and ready to adjust to life outside the womb. She weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel - like a stalk of Swiss chard (where do they come up with these weird comparisons?!?). Her weight gain is about 1/2 ounce a day.

Showered with Love: Take II
My friends from work threw me a beautiful baby shower on Halloween. We played games, ate delicious food, opened adorable presents and people read blessings/advice to me. I am truly blessed and feel so loved and taken care of. I thank the Lord for putting so many amazing people in my life - especially for such a time as this!

36 Weeks and 4 to Go!
Baby Williams is almost 6 pounds now - like a crenshaw melon - and is more than 18 1/2 inches long! She is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. At the end of this week, she will be considered full-term.

35 Weeks ... 5 to Go!
Baby Williams is over 18 inches long now and weighs a whopping 5 1/4 pounds - the weight of a honeydew melon. Her kidneys are fully developed now, and her liver can process some waste products. Most of her basic physical development is now complete — she'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.

Showered with Love
My amazing mom and sweet friend Sarena threw me a baby shower last weekend. It was a beautiful shower, and there are no words to express how loved and cared for I feel. Travis, Baby and I are so blessed to have such amazing friends and family in our lives.
Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate the upcoming birth of our daughter!

3-D Daughter
We got our 3-D ultrasound a few weeks ago. You're typically supposed to get it at 28 weeks, but we couldn't get in until 33 weeks. So, baby was a little squished and the pictures weren't as clear as we would have liked. But, it was still very cool to watch her. She has chubby cheeks and full lips, which she puckered several times. She even stuck her tongue out a few times (hmmm ... defiant, already?!). She also rubbed her eye and grabbed the umbilical cord. And, what's really neat is that we'll be able to show her the DVD when she's older so she can see what she looked like before she was born. Wow. Technology is so cool.
Although it looked a little distorted, it made us very excited to meet our daughter soon - in 4-D!

34 Weeks - Only 6 More to Go!
Baby Williams weighs about 4 3/4 pounds - the same as an average cantaloupe - and is almost 18 inches long! Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder ... and making me rounder, too! Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well.

33 Weeks
Baby Williams weighs a little over 4 pounds this week - the weight of a pineapple - and has passed the 17-inch mark. My books tell me she'll grow another inch during this week alone! Baby now opens her eyes when she's awake and closes them during sleep. Her immune system is also fully developed so she can now fight off mild infections - just in time for the H1N1 virus! Whew!
I have now reached the stage of my pregnancy where my ankles are blowing up like balloons on a regular basis. Because they are so horrific, I refuse to post photos, but let's just say the word "cankles" is even an understatement. My ankles look like they belong to a 572-pound woman. I actually had to wear crocs to work twice this week because I couldn't fit my poor feet into my regular shoes. Thank goodness for crocs!

Life...
Every week I post boring, side-profile photos of my ever-expanding belly so I thought I'd include a few fun photos of the belly in everyday life. Plus, no one ever gets to see photos of my handsome husband. So, consider this a bonus. :)
32 Weeks
Baby Williams weighs 3.75 lbs. (the weight of a large jicama - hmmm, very weird choice of veggie) and is about 16.7 inches long. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.

31 Weeks
Baby Williams is 16 inches long and weighs about 3.3 pounds - the weight of 4 navel oranges. She's been in the fetal position with her legs tucked, for a few weeks now. She can turn her head from side to side, and her arms, legs and body are beginning to plump out. She won't get much taller, but she's headed into a major growth spurt. Ummm ... excuse me? Growth spurt?!? But there's no room for more growth!!
